Effective leaders make people feel that even the most difficult problems can be tackled productively.

Leadership: change management

A leader may have a great change idea, ranging from a small system change request, to reorganizing a flow of work, or even creating some templates for all to use. The problem is, for the change management process to be a success, coworkers and management need to support the idea. In addition, they must also be willing to change their habits. Hence correctly so, the leader must have great convincing power. they must also convince them it is going to yield great benefits for the business. The leader must also show readiness to make change happen. However, for leaders managing the change in practice will present more challenges unless they are  supported by a strong set of tools and guidelines. Leaders should therefore do the following to ensure effective change management.

leadership: Awareness

Firstly, leaders must be fully aware of what is working and what is not working in their organization. PRIME provides a strong set of tools and guidelines to identify this accurately. The process and priotization functionality enables leaders to accurately identify which processes are working and vice versa. The second step of awareness is to communicate the problem to all the affected. The key is to focus the communication on the reasons to make a change. A leader must therefore have great communication skills to ensure the message is received and understood well.

Secondly, it is the desire. That is communicating the benefits for the adoption of the solution. Therefore leaders should create desire in the organization by simulating the proposed solution before implementing the solution. PRIME simulation functionality enables leaders to create different solutions. In addition, it enables them to prescribe the benefits of each solution before implementing the change. Again, communicate to ensure all people in the organization understands the benefits. As a result, the leader is able to  is stimulate desire for the change  in the organization.

Thirdly leaders should pass knowledge to the people in the organization through training and engagement . That is, provide the people with the knowledge and skill to smoothly transition into the new way of doing business. This prepares them for the change by sharing the future with them . It also allows them to contribute to their future by making improvement suggestions .  As a result, members of the organization have the knowledge to get them on the track for the upcoming change.

Leadership: Action

In this step, leaders should start small and provide a clear pathway forward. Hence it is now time to implement the change. PRIME guides leaders with the right tools to manage the implementation through its Improvement Tracking Dashboard. Through PRIME  leaders can simply set up work packages and manage the execution of tasks to implement the change. Make changes in the organization in small steps ,process by process.
