Exercise 2 Exercise 2 invites you to propose two interventions in the systems that make up the Cedar-Riverside community in Minneapolis (See Figure 1). Your proposed interventions will address two of the following systems in the landscape: Roads, streets, highways Water Open space The presence and visibility of Indigenous people in the face of historic erasure. Each of your interventions will be grounded in the work of one or more of the scholars/writers whose work we addressed in the first half of the course, and will also make reference, where appropriate, to the materials we have examined since spring break.

The outline of your exercise will be as follows: A map of the area (See Figure 2 as a base map for you to use). These maps do NOT have to be fancy or anything, just illustrating where you are proposing your intervention. (50 points) Intervention #1 What is the intervention you propose? (25 points) So the exercise as a whole counts for 250 points, which is a sizable part of the overall semester, but is broken down into manageable parts for you to develop.
