ISLLC standards: Key elements of ISLLC standards
The purpose of this article is to have students familiarize themselves with the ISLLC standards. The standards are nationally recognized in education and leads educational policy. By familiarizing themselves with the key elements of ISLLC standards and position statements of this organization, students become more informed, intentional, politically active, and effective educators. As school leaders’ work changes, the standards changes as well. Since their initial development in 1996, the ISLLC standards first revision was in 2008. Currently, there is revision and update to reflect further changes in school leadership expectations.

Firstly, create a personal and motivating learning environment for students . Secondly, supervise instruction . Thirdly, develop assessment and accountability systems to monitor student progress . Forth, Develop the instructional and leadership capacity of staff . Finally, Maximize time spent on quality instruction and Promote the use of the most effective and appropriate technologies to support teaching and learning.
Importance of the ISLLC standards in todays schools.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of the instructional program.
